Choco – The Chocolate King of the World

Once upon a time, there was a little boy. And he was so poor. He had to wear the same clothes every single day. He didn't even have a spare change underpants. And when he went to school in the morning the boys would say, “You're smelly!” And he didn't like that.
In the afternoon the girls would say, “You stink!” And he didn't like that. But as much as he didn't like it, he was used to it because this boy was the poorest boy you have ever seen in your life. Even though he went to school, his friends didn't know anything about him or where he lived. In fact, he didn't even have any friends because he never wanted to invite them to his house. And they wouldn't want to go anyway because his house smelled worse than him.
Let me tell you about this boy. He lived in a big city, and he had to walk to school for two hours every single day. He never missed a day of school in his life. No matter if it was raining or snowing or windy, or lightning and thundering. It didn't matter if there was hail or wind. He always went to school because he knew that’s what was going to help him achieve his dreams. You see, he did have dreams and even though he smelled, and even though he had no friends, he had the biggest dream any boy could ever have but let me get back to the story of his house.
He was living far away from all his classmates and teachers. In fact, he lived all by himself. This boy didn't even have a mommy or daddy or grandpa or grandma. He used to, but not now. That was a long time ago and he wanted to forget those days because when he tries to remember, he just remembers all the things he doesn't have and that was the past. He's thinking about the future now. His house was about as big as a garden shed and it was just as warm in the winter as well. In fact, it was freezing. Even though he didn’t have a change of clothes, he had a bed, which kept him warm. And he had a little doggie called Kip. So there's nothing much more to say about his house other than he's got a key and he locks it, although there's not much to steal if you wanted to. And he smells, and he smells like dogs. But he's still got a dream. And he's got determination that you would not believe. In fact, you'd have to - any boy that had gone through what he's gone through would simply disappear with worry. But this boy didn't worry because he had a dream.
You know, even though he never missed a day and walked miles through all-weather to school every day, he was actually quite late, in fact, every day he went late. But that didn’t matter because the reason why he was so late every day was because he liked it when his teacher shouted his name. Actually, even when he's on time, he waits outside the gates until he's five minutes late. The boy was called Choco. That's right, his mommy and daddy named him Choco because they loved chocolate so much. And so when he went to school late every day and walked into his classroom, his teacher would sit there and shout “Choco’s late” and Choco just knows that it’s one step towards his dream.
“Choco’s late… Choco-late… Chocolate!”
